As adolescence beckoned, I dove headfirst into the rebellious chords of Violent Femmes, the raw energy of Pixies, the sonic landscapes of Smashing Pumpkins, and the genre-defying genius of Faith No More. Inspired and impassioned, I picked up the bass guitar and joined a grunge band, pouring heart and soul into each riff and rhythm.

Auckland's nightlife in the late '90s opened doors to a mesmerizing world of drum and bass, house, and jungle.

 

Here, my fascination with DJing took root—an obsession that bloomed in my thirties, amidst personal trials and moments of profound loss. Behind the decks, I found solace and sanctuary, transforming emotions into pulsating beats that resonated deeply with others.

Surrounded by mentors and embraced by a nurturing community, my DJ journey flourished. Influenced by fearless trailblazers like Nikki Ahern, Wattsson, Heylady, Becky, and Ranz, I became an advocate for inclusivity in our scene, striving to create spaces where diversity thrives and music unites.

Guided by luminaries such as Matt Drake, Osey, Craig James, Sanoi, and the Strom brothers—Barton and Hayden—I honed my craft, absorbing their wisdom and forging my distinct sound. From intimate gatherings to pivotal performances like opening for Ian Pooley at Ink Bar, each moment became a testament to my passion for music and connection.

AUM Festival remains a cherished cornerstone, where I've woven sonic tapestries for five transformative years. My sound defies categorization, flowing effortlessly between deep, melodic introspection and the exhilarating pulse of techno, reflecting my ever-evolving musical odyssey.
